What is Jetty?

Jetty is a 100% Java HTTP and Servlet Container. You can deploy a webapp to Jetty, and it will serve it, much like Tomcat or Resin.

The cool thing about Jetty, however, is it’s size. By simply including a 300K JAR file, you can embed an HTTP/1.1 server in your app. For an extra 200K on top of that, you can embed a fully-compliant Servlet 2.3 container in your app, much like Apache Forrest does.
