Integrated Help Files for RadRails

Friday, March 24th, 2006

I was poking around the latest release of RadRails and noticed there was a little “Cheat Sheets” window. It was pretty basic, and then I realized I could just write Eclipse help files for this kind of thing. There are all sorts of handy Ruby and Rails cheatsheets out there in PDF, and it would be pretty easy to (with the authors’ permissions, obviously) convert a lot of the stuff by hand.

It would be pretty sweet to take all those cheatsheet PDF files and have them consolidated in one handy place as a RadRails plugin.

PathFinder 4: Just a Little Too Slow

I’ve officially evicted PathFinder from residence on my 15″ Powerbook. It’s just too sluggish, and I’ve already got enough things asking for CPU time. It’s a great app, but some things just feel a little too sluggish. Maybe when I get that Intel iMac, or whatever the new PowerMac will be, but until then, I can live with Finder.
